Back in 2011 I was spurred to begin this blog by reports in the media about education in the US. At that time teacher bashing and the push for alternative education methods was in the forefront. I had to raise my voice in support of Public Education and the teachers that are at the heart of it. Since this time I have learned a lot more about the issues and I am still committed to the success of Public Education. My focus now is to engage in conversation and work for educational opportunities for all of our children. This starts with support of the teachers that come to work everyday and instill a passion for learning and literacy, leaving a legacy that impacts our future.
