SOSMarch made a splash in DC

WOW SOSMarch and National Call to Action gathered 8,000 (by unoffical Park Service estimates) in Washington DC today. These were parents, educators, administrators, and others dedicated to our Public School system.  We have representatives from Vermont walking in solidarity with others from around the country.  Kudos all that braved the heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the many speakers was Matt Damon.  Read his speech at the Washington Post http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/post/matt-damons-clear-headed-speech-to-teachers-rally/2011/07/30/gIQAG9Q6jI_blog.html

If ever teachers felt alone and disrespected, please know that you are not alone.

I hope to be able to help this grassroots movement.  Public Education and the teachers that have dedicated their lives to it are owed a great debt.  Thank you all!

Wish so much I could have been there.
